Reaction Conditions:

0.25 mmol (1.0 molar equivalent) of 1-bromo-4-chlorobenzene was added to neopentyl sodium synthesized in the same manner as in Experiment Number 1, and the mixture was reacted in hexane at 0° C. for 30 minutes to synthesize 4-chlorophenyl sodium. A product was evaluated by trapping the product with 0.3 mmol (1.2 molar equivalents) of chlorodimethylphenylsilane, performing 1H NMR measurement and calculating a yield, in the same manner as in Examination Example 2. The results are shown in FIG. 7. As shown in FIG. 7, the yield of 4-chlorophenyl sodium was 88%.
