A mixture of morpholine (1.5 mL) and ethyl 2-bromo-1,3-thiazole-4-carboxylate (200 mg) was stirred overnight at 50° C.
The reaction solution was poured into water, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate.
The extract was washed with saturated brine, dried over sodium sulfate, and concentrated under reduced pressure.
The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (NH, ethyl acetate/hexane) to give the title compound (193 mg).
MS (ESI+): [M+H]⁺242.8.
