Steps:
(9-Fluorenylmethyloxycarbonyl(methyl)amino)acetic acid (S7)
To a solution of sarcosine (500 mg, 5.61 mmmol) in saturated NaHCO3 (10 ml) were added solution of Fmoc-OSu (1.99 g, 5.90 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (10 ml) and the mixture was stirred for 5 h. Saturated NH4Cl and AcOEt was added to the solution and organic layer was washed with brine, dried over MgSO4 and evaporated in vacuo. The residue was purified with column chromatography (CHCl3:MeOH = 80:20 v/v) to give S7 (1.71 g, 5.49 mmol, 98%) as a white solid.
