with palladium on activated charcoal;hydrogen in tetrahydrofuran;methanol at 20; for 3 h;

Steps:

Ala-Ala-Ala-OH

General procedure: Ala-Ala-Ala-OBn (17.4 mg, 0.043 mmol) and Pd/C (1.0 mg, 0.047 mmol) in THF/MeOH (4mL, 1/1 v/v) was stirred at room temperature for 3 h under H2 ballon. The catalyst wasremoved by filtration through a pad of Celite and washed with MeOH and concentrated. Theobtained residue was poured into an excess of EtOAc. The precipitate was recovered throughvacuum filtration, and dried in vacuo to give the deprotected product (12.3 mg, quant.) as a white solid.
