Production of Dimethyl 3-Hydroxyadipate (I-1) and 3-Hydroxyadipic Acid-3,6-Lactone Methyl Ester (II-1) from 3-Hydroxyadipic Acid-3,6-Lactone
A reaction was conducted in the same manner as in Reference Example 5, except that 10 mg of 3-hydroxyadipic acid-3,6-lactone was used as a starting material in place of the 3-hydroxyadipic acid.
Yield of dimethyl 3-hydroxyadipate was 45%, and yield of 3-hydroxyadipic acid-3,6-lactone methyl ester was 510%.
