Steps:

EIPA (295.33 mg, 1 mmol) is dissolved in 15 mL of THF (solution A). Ethyl bromide (149.48 , 2 mmol) is dissolved in 15 mL of THF (solution B). A and B solutions are pumped, respectively, mixed at the T-junction maintained at -10 ° C and passed through a column reactor filled with K 2 CO 3 at 100 ° C. After separating and purifying EIPB from the reaction mixture, it is added to distilled water and hydrolyzed by adding HCl to obtain indobufen.
