To a solution of 23e (1.95 g, 10 mmol) in MeOH (20 mL), concentrated H₂SO₄ (0.1 mL) was added and the resulting solution was stirred overnight at rt.
After solvent evaporation, the crude oil was diluted with Et₂O (15 mL) and filtered through a pad of SiO₂ to afford 24e as yellow oil (2.10 g, quant.)
