EXAMPLE 4 1-Methylamino-1-methylthio-2-nitroethene II A mixture of nitromethane (3 ml), compound X (600 mg), and zeolite (ZSM-5) (600 mg) was refluxed for 87 hr. The solid catalyst was filtered off and the filtrate on concentration under reduced pressure gave the required product II, characterized by m.m.p. and spectral data as given in example 3.
