4synthesis methods
-

Yield:53555-41-2 100%

Reaction Conditions:

with triethylamine in ethyl acetate at 20; for 3 h;Cooling with ice;

Steps:

10

21.4 g (211.2 mmol) of triethylamine was added dropwise to a solution of 10.0 g (96 mmol) of neopentyl glycol and 24.2 g (211.2 mmol) of methanesulfonyl chloride in 90 mE of ethyl acetate under ice-cooling. Then, the temperature was raised to room temperature, followed by stirring for 3 hours. After 50 mE of water was added to the reaction system, the resultant product was stirred for 1 hour, and liquid-liquid separation was performed. Afier the organic layer was dried over magnesium sulfate, the solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure, whereby 25 g of (37-A) was obtained. (Yield of quant.)
