The re&ultant sohition was suited at 0 ³C for 30 minutes. The reaction was then quenched wish saturated NIi₊Cl and diluted with ether. The organic layer was separated and washed successively with H_;Q and brine, then dried over anliydroas Na^SO₄, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo to afford the crude product (7.2 g) which was directly used for the next reaction without purification.
