Steps:

1 Example 1 Preparation of Lithium Quinolate
25 kg of 8-hydroxyquinoline was added to 450 L methylene chloride (MC) and stirred to dissolve. LiH 1.44 kg to the solution was slowly added over 2-4 hours while maintaining 20±5°C . When the addition was completed, the temperature of the mixed solution was adjusted to 30±5° C., and further stirred for 20 hours to react.After 20 hours of reaction, the reaction solution was filtered and washed with MC. The yield after drying was 92%.The dried lithium quinolate was purified in a yield of 98% by sublimation, and no residue splashing or clogging of the nozzle was observed during the sublimation.
