Steps:

General procedure for the synthesis of chiral styrene oxides
General procedure: For the preparation of chiral styrene oxides, 3 mL NaOH(2 N) was added to α-bromohydrin (0.5 mmol) in 6 mL tetrahydrofuran(THF) and then was sttired at room temperature for 1 h. After completing the reaction, the product was extracted by EtOAc and then purified using column chromatography on silica gel using ethyl acetate/n-hexane gradient to give the desired product in high purity.
