MeCN (25 mL, c = 0.37) was addedK2CO3 (3.3 g, 23.7 mmol, 2.55 eq) and EtI (1.45 g, 9.3 mmol, 1 eq) were added to a stirred solution of 3 (2.5 g, 9.3 mmol, 1 eq) and stirred overnight at room temperature. The mixture was concentrated in vacuo. The crude product was purified by column chromatography to give the pure product (2 g, 80% yield).
