Prepare a dry and clean 5L four-reaction flask, to the flask was added 134.5 g (0.5 mol) of (2E,4E) -11-methoxy-3,7,11-trimethyl-2,4-dodecadienoic acid, catalyst 4-dimethylaminopyridine 6.1 g (0.05 mol) and toluene 1500 mL, stirring at 15-25 ° C. A solution of diisopropyl pyrocarbonate was added dropwise to the flask (diisopropylcarbonate 133 g, 0.7 mol; toluene 600 mL) after completion of the dropwise addition, the reaction was stirred at 15-25 ° C for 3 h. To the flask was added 750 mL of water, after stirring for 10 min, static phase separation, separating the upper layer of toluene. The organic phase was concentrated under reduced pressure, distillation gave 140 g of the S-methoprene insecticidal product, the yield was 104.0%, the molar yield was 90.3%, the product content was 97.1%, isomer: 1.0%.
