SUCROSE MONOLAURATE synthesis

11synthesis methods
-

Yield: 88%

Reaction Conditions:

with MAC-01 in N,N-dimethyl-formamide at 120; under 3.75038 Torr; for 6 h;

Steps:

2 A catalytic selective synthesis method of sucrose monolaurate comprises the following steps:
1) In DMF (dimethylformamide) solvent, add 342g sucrose (molecular size about 0.9nm), 214g methyl laurate (molecular size about 1.2nm), in 34.2g mesoporous catalyst MBC-01 (the most effective The pore diameter is 2.3nm, the amount of alkali is 1.2mmol/g), and the reaction is stirred at 110°C and 0.5KPa; 2) TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography) tracks the progress of the reaction. No sucrose is detected after 8 hours. The reaction is stopped after cooling. The MBC-01 is removed by filtration. The filter residue is collected and washed with DMF. After the filtrate is combined, it is concentrated under reduced pressure to recover the reaction solvent. The ethyl acetate was recrystallized, cooled to room temperature to collect the crystals, and dried under vacuum at 50°C to obtain sucrose monolaurate. The purity of sucrose monolaurate was 98%, and the yield was 96%.
