Boc Protection of Amines; General Procedure
General procedure: To a magnetically stirred solution of (Boc)2 (1 mmol, 218.25 mg) andSrGO (7.5 mg), was added the respective amine (1 mmol) and stirredfor the appropriate time (Table 2) at RT. The progress of the reactionwas monitored by TLC. After the completion of the reaction, DCM (2mL) was added to the reaction mixture and the catalyst was separatedby vacuum filtration. The catalyst was washed with EtOH (3 × 5 mL)and subsequently dried in an air oven at 70 °C for 3 h and reused forfurther reactions. The solvent was concentrated under reduced pressureto yield N-t-Boc protected amine derivatives. The products werecharacterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, MS, and IR spectroscopy.
