Steps:

General procedure for the synthesis of thiourea

General procedure: Condition B: A mixture of phenyl isothiocyanate (0.2 mmol), DTBP (35 uL, 0.2 mmol), Et3N (28 uL, 0.20 mmol), K2CO3 (5.5 mg, 20% mmol), and deionized water (1.0 mL) was heated under an air atmosphere in a screw-cap Schlenk test tube at 90° C for 5 h. After the reaction was completed, the reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature and quenched with water. The mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate (3.0mL 3), and the combined organic phases were dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 and the solvent was evaporated under vacuum. The residue was purified by column chromatography to give the corresponding products (ethyl acetate/dichloromethane 1:10-1:15, 10-99%).
