Acetophenone wasdistilled off from the mixture of acetophenone O-methyloxime (15 g)and 100 mL of conc. HCl (bath temperature 140°C) under atmospheric pressure. The residueafter distillation was evaporated to dryness under reduced pressure to afford 8.41 g (100 %) of O-methylhydroxylamine hydrochloride. The 1HNMR data are identical to the previously reported.4 This procedure is general for a wide variety ofO-alkylhydroxylamines
