Steps:
l-(2-Nitrophenyl)urea (32a). 2-Nitrophenylisocyanate (23.0 g) was dissolved in CH2Cl2 (500 mL) and cooled down to -20 0C. Anhydrous NH3 was bubbled through this solution for 30 min, and then the solvent was evaporated. The reaction afforded 23.0 g (90.6%) of pure 32a.
