エチリデンノルボルネン．シクロペンタジエンとブタジエンの付加物ビニルノルボルネンを，強塩基性触媒で異性化して合成される．
無色の液体．沸点146 ℃．水に不溶．合成ゴムの一種であるエチレンプロピレンゴムの第三成分単量体として用いられる．
用途
ゴムの熱安定剤、エチレンープロピレンージエン系三元共重合ゴム(EPDM)用の非共役ジエンコモノマー、高分子ゴム改質剤、塗料、接着剤などの製造に使用

atmosphere since it reacts with oxygen
