Pharmacological action

Carbazochrome is a sodium uret salicylate of adrenochrome, the oxidation product of adrenalin. It has no effect like adrenalin, so it does not affect blood pressure and heart rate. However, it can enhance the resistance of capillaries to injury, stabilize the acidic mucosaccharides in blood vessels and surrounding tissues, reduce the permeability of capillaries, enhance the contraction effect of damaged capillaries, and shorten the hemostasis time. In addition, the drug can also inhibit the synthesis and release of prostaglandin E(PCE), thereby reducing capillary permeability and preventing the exudation of thermogenic substances.

Clinical application

Carbazochrome, also known as anoxemia, is one of the commonly used hemostatic drugs in clinical practice, mainly used for retinal hemostasis. Hemostatic nasal injury can also be combined with gelatin to make hemostatic cotton for local hemostatic. Its mechanism of action is to increase the resistance of capillaries to damage, reduce the brittleness of capillaries, so as to achieve the purpose of hemostasis.

1. Caution: People with a history of epilepsy and mental illness.

2. This drug should not be used for intravenous injection.

3. Poor efficacy for massive bleeding and arterial bleeding. The toxicity of carbazol is low, and a large number of carbazol applications can produce salicylic acid-like reactions (because it contains sodium salicylate), such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, tinnitus, vision loss, etc., and can also cause mental disorders and abnormal EEG activities.

Drug interaction

1. The vasodilator effect of antihistamines and anticholinergics can affect the h

emostasis of antihistamines. Effect, should avoid combined use. If necessary, the dosage of this drug should be appropriately increased.

2. This drug can reduce the effect of antipsychotic drugs such as haloperidol, and the combination of the two can worsen psychosis.

3. This drug can reduce the anti-epileptic drugs.

Application:

1. Hemostatic. It is used to prevent bleeding of lung, kidney, intestine, brain and uterus.

2. This product can reduce the permeability of capillaries, promote the retraction of damaged capillaries and stop bleeding. It is mainly used for hemorrhage caused by increased capillary permeability, such as idiopathic purpura, retinal hemorrhage, chronic pulmonary hemorrhage, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, epistaxis, hemoptysis, hemorrhoid hemorrhage, uterine hemorrhage, cerebral hemorrhage, etc. It has poor effect on massive bleeding and arterial bleeding.
