Reaction Conditions:

Stage #1: N-butylamine;2,4-dioxo-6-methyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-1,3-oxazine at 130; for 0.5 h;Sealed tube;
Stage #2: at 160; for 3 h;

Steps:

1-Butyl-6-methyl-uracil 2a4

Oxazine 1 (500 mg, 4 mmol) and Butylamine (580 mg, 8 mmol) are placed in a sealed vial, the mixture wasstirred in oil bath at 130 °C for a period of 30 minutes, after the cap is removed and the temperature is raised to170 °C and kept for a few hours, until the liquid has completely evaporated. The crude was purified using silicagel column chromatography with ethyl acetate/dichloromethane (20:80), to afford 2a as light yellow solid;yield: 515 mg (72%); mp 140-141 °C (Lit.4mp 132-133 °C).
