Yield:608-33-3 79%

Reaction Conditions:

with N-Bromosuccinimide;diisopropylamine in dichloromethane at 23; for 4 h;Schlenk technique;

Steps:

1.1 Synthesis of 2,6-Dibromophenol
Schlenk tube was charged with phenol (1.5 g, 16 mmol) and dichloromethane (10 mL), followed by N, N-diisopropylamine (0.44 mL, 3.1 mmol). N-bromosuccinimide (5.7 g, 32 mmol) and dichloromethane (150 mL) were added to another 100 cc Schlenk tube to dissolve completely and then slowly added to the first 100 cc Schlenk tube for 3 hours. After stirring at room temperature (23 ° C) for 1 hour, 1M hydrochloric acid (50 ml) was further added. Water (80 ml) was added and extracted. The extracted organic layer was washed with sodium sulfate and dried under vacuum to obtain a clear compound 2 (yield = 79%).
