Hazard Information | Back Directory | [Uses]
2-Naphthyl Phosphate, Monosodium Salt can be used as reagent/reactant in preparation mono, di and tri-?mannopyranosyl phosphates as mannose-?1-?phosphate prodrugs for potential CDG-?Ia therapy. | [Purification Methods]
Recrystallise it from H2O (10mL) containing NaCl (0.4g). The salt is collected by centrifugation and dried in a vacuum desiccator, m 203-205o (partially resolidifies and re-melts at 244o). It crystallises from MeOH (m 222-223o). The free acid is recrystallised several times by addition of 2.5 parts of hot CHCl3 to a hot solution of the free acid (1 part) in Me2CO (1.3 parts), m 177-178o.
