(-)-4-萜品醇是鱼腥草注射液的主要成分,鱼腥草注射液是以鲜鱼腥草为原料, 经过两次蒸馏制成的灭菌水溶液, 其功能为清热解毒、消痈排脓、利湿通淋, 主治痰热奎肺所致的肺脓疡、湿热下注所致的尿路感染及热毒奎盛所致的痈疖。
