倍硫磷砜性质、用途与生产工艺
倍硫磷砜[O，O-二甲基O-[3-甲基-4(甲硫基)苯基]硫代磷酸酯]([O，O-dimethyl O-[3-methyl-4-(methylthio)phenyl]phosphorothioate])是一种全球普遍所使用的有机磷杀虫剂(organophosphorus insecticide)，其使用在不同类型的耕作上，以控制许多吸吮及咬噬的害虫，特别是果蝇、叶蝉、侵食叶子的虫(leafminers)、侵食茎部的虫(stem borers)及谷虫(cereal bugs)等。而倍硫磷砜是众所周知会释放出严重的致命剧毒，而且会经由皮肤的接触、吸入或是摄取而累积，在使用该倍硫磷砜之后，最敏感及毒性的相关影响是抑制了乙酰胆碱酯脢的活性。使用倍硫磷砜杀虫剂而中毒的病患死亡率，比起使用其它有机磷杀虫剂来得更高。
倍硫磷-砜是对人、畜低毒的有机磷杀虫剂，对多种害虫有效，主要起触杀的胃毒作用，残效期长，对螨类效果不如甲基对硫磷，主要用于防治大豆食心虫，棉花害虫，果树害虫，蔬菜和水稻害虫，用于防治蚊，蝇，臭虫等也有良好效果。
