Human VEGF-A ELISA Kit Chemische Eigenschaften,Einsatz,Produktion Methoden
Verwenden
For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Human VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) ELISA Kit has been used to measure VEGFA levels in human umbilical vascular endothelial cells (HUVECs) incubated with plasma from pre-eclamptic and healthy pregnant women.
Allgemeine Beschreibung
The Human VEGF ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human VEGF in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and urine.
Biochem/physiol Actions
VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) is a potent angiogenic cytokine. It stimulates proliferation and migration of endothelial cells. VEGF induces microvascular permeability by enhancing function of vesicular-vacuolar organelle (VVO). VEGF plays a prominent role in both normal and pathological angiogenesis. Substantial evidence suggests that VEGF is involved in the induction of tumor metastasis and intraocular neovascular syndromes. Increased expression of VEGF causes retinal angiogenesis, thus, inhibition of VEGF using soluble VEGF-receptor chimeric proteins can be considered as a potential therapy for ischemic retinal disease. Polymorphism in VEGF at C (-634) G is linked with diabetic retinopathy in type 2 diabetes. Altered expression of VEGF is also associated with rheumatoid arthritis, Graves′ disease, psoriasis, cardiovascular disease, and peripheral limb disease.
