Manufacturing Process

5 g 2-chloronicotinic acid and 9.4 g p-n-butyl aniline were heated for 1 hour at 160°C by vigorous stirring under a nitrogen atmosphere. Then the mixture was dissolved in 2 N sodium hydroxide and extracted with benzene.
