Beschreibung

A further peptide alkaloid present in Scutia buxifolia, this base yields clusters of colourless needles when crystallized from CH2C12-cyclohexane. It is also strongly laevorotatory having [α]²⁰_D - 296° (c 0.1, CHCI₃). The structure has been determined from the hydrolysis products and mass spectrometry.
