Chemische Eigenschaften

Decyl benzoate is almost colorless, viscous liquid.Insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, poorly soluble in Propylene glycol, miscible with oils.

Verwenden

Decyl benzoate has been suggested for use in perfume compositions, but is rarely applied, although commercially available. It could give interesting effects in new types of "Oriental"fragrances, and it blends well with Cinnamic alcohol, Sandalwood oil, the various Rose alcohols, etc.
