2-(4-Bromophenoxy)tetrahydro-2H-pyran may be used as a starting material in the synthesis of 2-(4-lithiophenoxy)- tetrahydro-2H-pyran and 4-(tetrahydropyranyloxymethyl)phenyl magnesium bromide.
