8-Lavandulylkaempferol exhibits significant inhibitory effects with IC(50) values of 7.10 and 8.11 microM for butyrylcholinesterase and acetylcholinesterase, respectively. 8-Lavandulylkaempferol shows inhibitory activities against aldose reductase, with the the IC50 of 0.79 microM.

ChEBI: 8-lavandulylkaempferol is a tetrahydroxyflavone that is kaempferol substituted by a lavandulyl group at position 8. Isolated from Sophora flavescens, it exhibits antioxidant activity. It has a role as a metabolite, a radical scavenger and an EC 1.1.1.21 (aldehyde reductase) inhibitor. It is a member of flavonols and a tetrahydroxyflavone. It is functionally related to a kaempferol.
