Uses
Mefluidide is a plant growth regulator that suppresses annual bluegrass seedheads on creeping bentgrass greens. An antiparasitic agent.
Agricultural Uses
Herbicide; plant growth regulator: Not approved for use in EU countries . Mefluidide is used to control ornamental and non-ornamental woody plants, ground cover, hedges, trees, turfgrass and broadleaf weeds. Both the diethanolamine and potassium salts are actively used in the U.S.

Potential Exposure
Mefluidide is an anilide herbicide and plant growth regulator used to control ornamental and nonornamental woody plants, ground cover, hedges, trees, turfgrass, and broadleaf weeds. Both the diethanolamine and potassium salts are actively used in the United States Not refistered for use in the EU.
Environmental Fate
Soil. Rapidly degrades in soil forming 5-amino-2,4-dimethyltrifluoromethane sulfone anilide as the major metabolite (half-life <1 week) (Hartley and Kidd, 1987).
