Uses

N-Ethyldicyclohexylamine was used in the synthesis of F-amines along with other products by undergoing incomplete fluorination and fragmentation reactions.

Preparation

Dicyclohexyl(ethyl)amine can be prepared from dicyclohexylamine and diethyl sulfate[1-2].

General Description

Dicyclohexyl(ethyl)amine is a highly basic, nonnucleophilic amine; useful in alkylation of amines and in dehydrohalogenations; proton acceptor in esterifications.
