Biochem/physiol Actions
Mogrol is an aglycone of mogrosides from Siraitia grosvenorii that exhibits neuroprotective and anticancer activities. It induces apoptosis in K562 leukemia cells through suppression of ERK1/2 and STAT3 pathways. Mogrol appears to ameliorate the memory impairment caused by Aβ1-42 in mice.
