Parboiled Rice is the rice that results from the process of soaking
rice in water, draining, pressure cooking to completely gelatinize the
starch, drying, and milling. the parboiling process aids the develop-
ment of stability toward cooking and heat processing. it is used in
canned rice products such as soups, casseroles, meat, and rice din-
ners, such as spanish rice. the milling of parboiled rice produces
parboiled bran.
