with dimethyl sulfate in the presence of potassium carbonate in refluxing acetone/benzene mixture for 12 h (60%), (38%)
with methyl iodide in the presence of potassium carbonate in refluxing acetone for 3 h
with diazomethane (1 mol) in a methanol/ethyl ether mixture at 0° for 2 h.
