Bremelanotide is a 7 amino acid peptide used to treat hypoactive sexual desire disorder in premenopausal women. Bremelanotide does not interact with alcohol. The mechanism by which bremelanotides action on receptors translates to a clinical effect is still unknown.Bremelanotide is approved for use only if a womans sexual desire has diminished — not if a woman has always had struggles with sexual desire.
