Mead Acid Methyl Ester is an unsaturated fatty acid that has had a role as a precursor in the biosynthesis of prostaglandins, leukotrienes and thromboxanes. It has been reported that the presence of the compound may be responsible in the prevention of calcification of fetal cartilage.
