| Ruthenium Chloride Usage And Synthesis |
Chemical Properties |
Ruthenium Chloride is a reddish brown or black leafy crystal easily deliquescent. It forms a dark red solution. Relative density is 3.11, and it is decomposed into monomers when it is higher than 500°C. It is insoluble in cold water and carbon disulfide. Insoluble in cold water and carbon disulfide, decompose in hot water, insoluble in ethanol, and soluble in hydrochloric acid.
| Uses |
Ruthenium Chloride is a highly insoluble, thermally stable Ruthenium source suitable for glass, optic, and ceramic applications. Chloride compounds can conduct electricity when fused or dissolved in water. Chloride materials can be decomposed by electrolysis to chlorine gas and the metal. They are formed through various chlorination processes whereby at least one chlorine anion (Cl-) is covalently bonded to the relevant metal or cation. Ultra-high purity and proprietary formulations can be prepared. The chloride ion controls fluid equilibrium and pH levels in metabolic systems. They can form either inorganic or organic compounds.
