Proteinase Usage And Synthesis
Description

Proteinase is an enzyme used to break down proteins by hydrolyzing peptide bonds. It is used to degrade proteins, to study proteinase inhibitors and to study thermal inactivation kinetics. Proteinase is used in nucleic acid isolation procedures in incubations.

UsesProteinase is used for the cleavage of proteins in nucleic acid preparations. It is mainly used in nucleic acid purification or for the removal of nucleases.
Biological ActivityProteinase digests native proteins very effectively. It can therefore be used to remove DNases and RNases when isolating DNA and RNA from tissues or cells.
SafetyA poison by intraperitoneal route.When heated to decomposition it emits acrid smoke andirritating vapors.
