It is cytotoxic to H460 cancer cells (IC50 = 93 μM). | | Uses | Ganoderenic acid C (GDC) is a triterpenoid extracted from Ganoderma lucidum (GL). GDC can be used to establish HPLC-DAD fingerprints of GL for quality control of GL products. Studies have shown that GDC has anticancer and anti-inflammatory effects. GDC binds to enzymes involved in the synthesis of DNA, RNA and proteins and can inhibit the activity of cancer cells.
