Applications1,3-Bis(N-carbazolyl)benzene (NCB) can be used for:
(1) development of hole transport materials for solar cells. NCB is more stable than 1,4-Bis(diphenylamino)benzene (DAB)[1].
(2) As an organic semiconductor layer component for the preparation of multilayer organic-based light-emitting transistors (OLETs)[2].
(3) Used as a material for phosphorescent host materials
(4) Used as an organic synthetic backbone material
Description1,3-Bis(N-carbazolyl)benzene, known as mCP, with a high triplet energy (ET ?= 2.91 eV) and a very deep highest occupied?molecular orbital (HOMO) level, is often used as host materials for efficient blue phosphorescent light-emitting diodes. Kawamura et al. demonstrated that the photoluminescence internal quantum yield of the blue emitter of FIrpic could approach nearly 100% when doped into the wide energy gap host of mCP .
