Uses | Ethylenebis(tetrabromophthalimide) is an additive fire retardant that is added to a polymer mixture to produce a blend. Ethylenebis(tetrabromophthalimide) is used in high impact polystyrene (HIPS), polyethylene, polypropylene, thermoplastic polyesters, polyamide, ethylene propylene-diene terpolymers (EPDM rubbers) and other synthetic rubbers, polycarbonate, ethylene copolymers, ionomer resins, epoxies, and textile treatments. | General Description | Yellow powder. | Air & Water Reactions | Insoluble in water. | Reactivity Profile | 1,2-Bis(tetrabromophthalimido) ethane may react with strong oxidizers. | Hazard | Low toxicity by ingestion, inhalation, and
