In water, the molecule can orient itself into lipid bilayer and can be used for drug encapsulation, such as drug loaded liposomes or nanoparticles. | | Uses | 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-rac-(1-glycerol) Sodium Salt is used to prepare polyethyleneglycol-modified liposomal doxorubicin for therapies against drug resistant tumors.
