Chemical Properties	Cinnamyl propionate has a spicy, fruital odor with a woody, balsamic undernote and a sweet, warm, powerful, spicy taste.
Occurrence	Ha s apparently not been reported to occur in nature.
Preparation	By direct esterification of cinnamic alcohol with propionic acid under azeotropic conditions, or with propionic anhydride (Arctander, 1969).
