Colorless needles, or opaque, crystalline mass. M.P. 28℃. B.P. 228℃. Sp.Gr. 1.00 (0.99 liquid). Almost insoluble in water and Glycerin, soluble in alcohol, oils and Propylene glycol. Poorly soluble in mineral oil.
| | Uses | Para methyl acetophenone finds some use in flavor compositions for imitation Almond, Vanilla and various fruit complexes. The normal concentration is about 1 to 10 ppm but maybe as high as 500 or 1,000 ppm in chewing gum.
