IGF-1LR3 is a hormone with a molecular weight of 7.6kD and its molecular structure is similar to that of insulin. The main mechanism of action is to induce intracellular signaling by binding to its specific receptor (IGF1R). IGF-1LR3 is one of the most potent activators of AKT signaling pathway. Activation of AKT signaling pathway can stimulate cell growth and proliferation, and inhibit apoptosis of Chemicalbook cells. IGF-1LR3 adds 13 amino acids to the N-terminal of the complete IGF-1 molecule to form a long chain of 83 amino acids IGF-1, and replaces the third amino acid glutamic acid (E) of the IGF-1 molecule with arginine (R), so it is called R3. IGF-1LR3 has higher stability and biological activity than unmodified IGF-1.
