The Institute for Advanced Study of Aggregation-Induced Emission (or AIE Institute) is a laboratory established on May 28, 2020 for translational research and technology transfer. It is jointly supported by the Guangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the Guangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone, and the South China University of Technology. It is located in the Guangzhou Science City of the Huangpu District at the center of the Greater Bay Area comprised of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
The Institute focuses on AIE science and technology and aims at the forefront of global AIE research. It will develop AIE technology, manufacture AIE products and nurture innovative talents, in an effort to contribute to the high-quality economic development in China.
