2 Synthesis of Intermediate E

In an argon (Ar) atmosphere, THF / water (18.7 g of 1,5-dibromonaphthalene, 2.86 g of phenylboronic acid, 0.813 g of Pd (PPh3) 4, and 5.15 g of K2CO3 dissolved in a 1 L three-necked flask ( 360 mL of the mixed solution of 8: 2) was heated and stirred at 70 ° C. for 5 hours. After air cooling, dichloromethane was added to separate the organic layer, and the solvent was distilled off. After the obtained crude product was purified by silica gel chromatography (using hexane), 4.65 g (yield 70%) of Intermediate E as a pale yellow solid was obtained.
